The Garden House – Coffee

No…the coffee is not that browned blotch on the left hand side. The coffee is why that stayed a blotch. “Hat-racking” trees is not the best gardening look but this poor  bush got so big over this past summer that it began to lean over and show roots. Shoulder surgery this year prevented me from using my Lady version chain saw. So when there was a break in the rain, I asked my roomie if he wouldn’t mind doing it for me.

This former mammoth bush-turned-tree has started blooming leaves again. Yes. That’s Florida. We are damp; we are humid but we are GREEN.

Florida roses are different from northern state roses. They tend to be smaller and not fragrant but they are true roses that bloom all year. And that’s just delicious to look at while dunking pastels into my coffee.

East sun rays perk up the garden contrast.  This is winter in Florida.
