Oh my God…really..OMG OMG OMG OMG.
Last week I was booked to ride my yearly summer return to the barn and the trainer was suddenly out on emergencies. Barn people are understanding so I walked around the barn to visit all the new snickering faces. Snickering horses are those aware of the carrot count in my bag.
One lady said her palomino was up for lease. I checked the horse. Nice 15.1 hands golden palomino, good barn manners, sweet disposition, so we did the test drive.
Horse was honest to her words, our contract made without spit or handshake.
At the park, we passed my baby boy horse, now being useful in his retirement. He is used for disabled children. I know he is the best and he looks great. It felt like the reins where being passed from him to my new mount within his approval.
I always listen to my horse.
