ColorStudy:Ballywood

Going back to school to renew my teaching certificate, I decided to learn why Ballywood colors are continually power whopping color to my eyes. They’re gorgeous combinations of high intensity and vibrant colors. High intensity should be vibrant but it depends on the quality of pigment used. Higher grade pigment make purer energy signatures of color to the eyeball.

This is the basis of Rudolf Steiner’s theories on education. In particular, Art Education, a favorite of his, taught me to use high quality materials with myself and my students.

In my teens, I was attracted to the joyful, giggly gurus and found yoga a way of life. Having joined the study of mysticism and hindu/buddhist philosophies, I read Tao literature as well and learned Zen style of painting.

Zen teaches spontaneity after study and practice.

Rudolf Steiner not only founded the Waldorf School of Education which is still popular around the world, but was a Theosophist. His visions and intuitions brought him to lecture on ancient texts. I used to read it but find his germanic approach so dry I fall asleep reading it…but still I want to learn it because his information is terribly exciting…..so I’ve gotten audio books. In those, he helps me understand certain common mystical agreements about color and the forces of spiritual fire.

Steiner read Geothe, who I also listened to in audio lectures, on the Physics Principles of Color.

All these Western Cultures have grown while India continued being India.

It is said that India is a Ruby Jewel….

I want to study that Gemstone Color facets.
